WFWP Scotland, UK Celebrates the United Nations International Tea Day

After a very long time of online meetings and webinars, we decided to restart in-person meetings and thought the International Tea Day would be an ideal opportunity. One of our members invited us to her house for this occasion. Everyone brought some food to share and, of course, a variety of teas.

After an ice-breaker where we introduced ourselves, explaining where we came from and how long we lived in Scotland, Ann, the chairperson of the Scottish chapter of WFWP, introduced the aim and purpose of our organisation and described some of our recent activities before going on to talk about the origin and meaning of International Tea Day.

One of our sisters then introduced the variety of teas on display and explained how the difference in texture influences the taste of the tea and how the temperature of the water also plays an important role in preparing a good cup of tea.

After sampling the great variety of teas and eating most of the food, we ventured into the garden and took some more photos to remember the occasion.
