Spirit World and Angels - Spirit world is very different from what you imagine

The above paraphrase from a speech Father gave in the late 1970s, early 1980s; I personally heard him say it, but I don’t remember when. Since that time period he continued to give members other insights.

In the latter days of his life on earth, Father often repeated the need for us to prepare for eternal life in spirit world, with Heavenly Parent. As can be read, we need to take ownership of his words, making them ours, along with our environment, and build Cheon Il Guk. Father especially constantly emphasized our sexual purity.

In 1983 Father said, ‘You Moonies are the last people to know because you don’t study, you don’t investigate’2. Why did Father over the years give us hints & insights into the past..not strictly restoration?

In Father’s 4/1/87 ‘Let us go over the Original Boundary’ speech he said. ‘Moonies have to think about things others don’t think about. True Love is a panacea…the cleaning process will take tens of thousands of years in order to remove all the evil elements…Jesus should have said I’m the love’3.

Father called us ‘Moonies’ when he was frustrated with us.

In 1992 Father said ‘Father is not going to tell you everything. That is up to you to research. Don’t be lazy’4.

Also, in 1992 Father told the seminarians ‘..but there are several holes in the Principle which no one knows what it is. Even in the books containing True Father’s speech, they don’t cover this’5. This forces me, and all students of the Principle and Father’s words, to study more deeply. Which is preferable, trying & not fully succeeding, or not trying at all? I urge you think as a parent.

There’s ample room to study and bring a decoded view into our education. This includes both Father’s words as well as other religious texts, and fruits of our studies.

I’ve been working on the following essays for several years. There are some points I’d like to expand on. This is not a retelling of the Divine Principle nor of any holy text in existence, but a researched view of our world, i.e., not restoration. I’ve long been interested in the physical world base for

religions, for which I include as many references as I can find, especially True Father’s; unfortunately I don’t have references for all. I mention many (historical, myth?) texts dating from before the compilation of the Bible. These also must be studied as non-restorational, historic texts, from which restoration Principles are extracted. The Middle East has many cultures preceding the Bible from where ideas, often anthropomorphic, were adopted. Were these inspired by God? The story of the Great Flood is one5. Did God really create angels?

The Fall took place in a physical, real world reality. Restoration, therefore, must also take place in the physical world. Religion takes original events then converts them to fit Principles of restoration, not negating the original events. This especially includes dates. Religion finds this very difficult. People isolate religion, disconnecting it from reality, making it difficult for a non-religious, non-spiritual person. I dare say all the WOKE, leftist, atheistic, LGBTQ, transgender problems today stem from our collective inability to accept God, True Parents and the Principle. Humanism replaced religion. Necessarily we must see events in two lights, historical and restorational, i.e., religious; then we must take ownership, the union in the 4-position foundation.

My way of studying over time has been through the O-D-U structure, studying how our Unification movement and the religious world in general, treat the physical world .

Curiously, peoples before the creation of the Bible’s Old Testament understood Principles which only in the 20th century our True Father was able to understand & teach. Father himself decoded all of God’s painful secrets6, originally encrypted thousands of years ago. He said in his February 2001 ‘Father’s words on witnessing’, God didn’t teach Father how to conquer Satan; he had to learn on his own7. Who knew and understood history and restoration so long ago to encrypt God’s secrets? They, whoever ‘they’ were, even created nicknames for the different groups of beings on earth; the ant people, monkey, grasshoppers, etc. It would seem they depicted the peoples’ habitats.

On May 12, 1991 Father told us that Adam & Eve were to be the first messiahs8. This is not the same as the first man and woman.

In ‘A lifetime devoted to God’s liberation’ Father says: ‘Tens of tens of millions of years have passed since the creation of humankind. It is not just six thousand years as the Bible indicates based on the history of cultures recorded in its pages. Actually, it has been tens of millions of years since God decided to begin the providence of salvation9.

Our remote ancestors were so advanced they couldn’t sustain a base with us. They left. They taught us what they could. There’s a good chance they mixed their DNA with ours. By deduction, we can also understand they are fallen seen from the Principle, restoration point-of-view and Father’s words of when Heavenly Parent started His providence of restoration.

Origin - Division - Union It’s very hard living in two worlds when there’s no clear demarcation between them. Clearly, for spiritual people, to understand the physical world, along with the spirit world, is all important if we’re going to achieve the 4-position foundation. Conversely, materialists live in the world spiritual people don’t. The union between our Sung sang and our Hyung sang life cannot take place if we don’t have this division clear in our minds. This union is a symbol of our perfection, our ownership.

Here’s where I got into strong resistance. Our perspective of the Sung sang, inner aspects, religion, restoration, symbolism, metaphors, anthropomorphism, allegories, spirituality, etc. blocked the understanding of our real world, the Hyung sang. Religion is usually figurative, not literal. We say Father or the Bible said.. While this is to be respected, it’s not the same as saying we understood. The use of the word angel is an example.

We’re believing in religious history, in things that don’t materially exist. It’s for religious education only. This is in part due to the way religion came down to us over time. Religion was designed for minds that were simpler, faiths that were shallower, and created images through anthropomorphism that made attendance to God, by whatever name, easier. Starting from a servant of servant mind set, which was the social structure in the Middle East part of the world where religion began developing, fear of authority was a major block. Society’s leaders were often cruel and authoritarian. Building a trusting relationship with our Heavenly Parent has been a long road. We ‘fear’ God, and not have Him as a close, warm parent.

Reminder that spiritual development grows through eight stages, starting from the servant of servants. Since the beginning, our Heavenly Parent didn’t have a parent child experience due to the oppressive nature of the society leaders over His children, blocking God out; leaders were putting themselves in the position of gods & God. Belief in God as we know Him today was still far off in the future. Even our greatest leaders are nowhere near a level of understanding of God as our eternal parent as our True Parents taught us. Some believers often refer to God as lord or master, indicating that they, too, have not reached a close parent-child relationship. For other peoples, their ancestors were beings from outer space, leaving no door open to an inner Father/parent. Where was Heavenly Parent’s Parent - child experience? True Father can read the level of our relationship with God through our prayers.

True Father had to restore all understandings we believed to be true, to the original standard, to advance Heavenly Father’s providence.

Angels I originally wrote my Angel paper because I asked of their existence. I wrestled with SW. Father spoke endlessly of wrestling with SW, going across the universe in search of answers. I understood the meaning.

In 2018 I wrote my first paper, Angels10. Arguing that God never made an angel, I went into references, physical world history, and the Divine Principle to argue my points. It’s a meticulous job dedicated to bringing people out of entrenched beliefs and introduce a new way of seeing things, as I quoted in the beginning. Again, this was not about rewriting religion or Divine Principle, but about exposing the physical world base upon which religion & restoration are built; Heavenly Parent’s han ( 恨) is liberated. Restoration requires restoration laws, Principles. Offerings must be cut into Sung sang & Hyung sang halves, prioritizing the Sung sang up to Heaven.

Violent reactions took place at the introduction of the paper. Admittedly, it was a new idea, not easy to swallow at first, and with the crucial explanation of the Fall only included in a later paper.

The way the angel entered our culture was a sly satanic infiltration, not included in Heaven’s plan, introduced after generations of Israelites intermingled with local Zoroastrians during the Babylonian Captivity. Did God give Zoroastrians unique revelations which should then be offered at the creation of His Holy Book, the Bible? Nevertheless God, True Parents & religion had to work with it11; i.e., God works with results.

Here’s the Origin - Division - Union concern. We live in a world in which few religious people have bridged the world of restoration, which includes images, symbolism, metaphors, anthropomorphisms, etc., with the world of reality. Even the world of science is so intertwined with religious thoughts that it looks for angels, but doesn’t allow for God.

There’s little separation in society between what’s meant to reach Heavenly Father, our restoration, and the real world. For sure, the physical world is seen as lesser, not holy, when seen from a vertical, restoration point-of-view. This is due to the fact that the Fall was cemented with the physical body‘s sexual act. Restoration by force puts it in a lesser light. This is restoration.

Science, with all its technology, is a gift from God. Our every electronic gadget and material tool is a gift from God. It makes our life more comfortable, we can embrace people and cultures and knowledge far distant, both physically and mentally, and instantly. Heaven prepared them to serve True Parents upon their return. We cannot treat our physical world disparagingly. We must restore the third blessing. God is also the God of science and the physical world.

A key aspect of the angel paper is that all things spiritual by necessity grow in a physical body. “The sensibility of our spirit man is to be cultivated through its reciprocal relationships with our physical

man during physical life on earth.“12 The Divine Principle then continues, “Thus, the character and qualities of the spirit man are formed during our earthly life.” How could an angel’s character and qualities, a being who has never lived on earth with a physical body, be cultivated, or even exist?

God is the God of the Bible & the God of science. See the Bible / restoration not about facts, but about Principles.
