"God has no one but me… I cannot trust any of you." (Part 1)

This time period since Father’s death has surely been a time of deep reflection for all of us and I think we all had many questions concerning Father’s death; why did he die now when he had spoken about living past one hundred, what does his death mean? Did we fail in some way? What is going to happen now? Having reflected myself for many days during which time I didn’t send out any letters I would now like to offer these thoughts and reflections. I hope they will be of benefit to you.

On November 8, 2009 Father said: “God has no one but me. There is no one else who is willing to go to the place of death. Father is trying to cross this final pass through which individuals, families, tribes, peoples, nations and the entire world can become one… However, if I die simply as an individual then it would not be enough of a foundation for God, so God cannot have hope in me, either. Even when I cross that pass and stand before the gate with the key in my hand, I cannot open the door. Satan must come and open the door for me. Even if all 70 million Koreans are united centering on Father’s autobiography, I still would be unable to open the door.

When I look at you, I can look at you in detail but when God looks out into space, He thinks, `What can I do? Where must I go?’ I can allow 60% of the Israelites and the Blessed people, even if they are false children, to go through, but God cannot allow even 1 percent. The question is how to complete even 3%. How can we do that for God?”

One and a half years later Father had to say on the 57th anniversary of the founding of our church: “Children must resemble the parents… Don’t even think that you are living a life of Heaven. I am warning you. I cannot trust any of you.” (June 2, 2011)

On the following day Father declared during Hoon Dok Hae: “I still do not have a cornerstone on earth where I can stand… I was put in jail 6 times, but actually it would have been many more if I had not inspired and sent back those who came to arrest me. I am not a person that is caught to be put in jail, but I could not help but being in jail in order to go beyond the national level.”

What does it mean for the Messiah to be alone and to have nobody whom he could trust, with no real foundation on earth where he can stand? It means he is destined to go to the cross, which became a reality 11,000 hours after Father made this statement about the unspeakably difficult situation of God’s and his own lonely position.

By the time the 4th anniversary of the helicopter miracle was reached in the middle of July brothers and sisters from around the world had gathered in Chung Pyung for a special workshop with 1,100 hours left until Father’s ascension, which could have been averted had leaders and members repented and finally united wholeheartedly with God’s providence and the fundamental directions given by the True Parents.

Because time was running out there had been a culmination of events in July 2012 when Father asked for a certain number of representatives from around the world on short notice to come to Korea for education and the founding of the Women Abel UN on the 16th of that month which Hyung Jin Nim pointed out as a turning point in Father’s health from where his bodily condition became worse and he had to be hospitalized 3 weeks later.

Father had declared on May 26, 2011: “I was called by Heaven when I was 16 years old, and so I need to live to 116 since I will have to wait and be patient for at least 100 years, one century.” And 15 months later Father was dead – for many reasons, one of which he mentioned on that day: “Boon Bong Wangs are like children of the archangel, not those of Adam and Eve.”

Boon Bong Wangs are of course not supposed to behave like children of the archangel but as sons and daughters of God and True Parents. Heaven was hoping that they would change their heart during the 8 times 8 weeks that followed for the sake of a new beginning, but when this did not happen there was no other way open than Father’s death `on the cross’ and therefore the countdown began 10, 9, 8,… and by the time Father was back in Chung Pyung at the end of August there were only three days left to conclude 3, 2, 1, zero and Father had to leave this world on September 3, 2012.

I mention these numbers to point to the fact that there are no coincidences in connection with Father’s ascension. Between November 8, 2009 and September 3, 2012 there is a period of 1000 plus 30 days. We can see that after our worldwide membership had not liberated True Father during these 10 times 100 days, which represented the final chance to unite with Father’s guidance while he was on earth and to become one with God and with each other, Father had to enter the hospital on August 3, 2012 with only one month of his earthly life remaining, which could have been prolonged had our leaders and members finally turned to God in true repentance but there was no fundamental change of heart.

Tragically, even with Father facing a life-or-death situation our brothers and sisters around the world were not moved to unite with one another centered on God’s Word and accordingly there was definitely no foundation for the Lord of the Second Advent to continue his mission on earth and it became true that Father had to die a lonely death on the individual level. This means that he cannot open the door unless Satan opens the door for him which will only happen when Father has successfully crossed “the final pass through which individuals, families, tribes, peoples, nations and the entire world can become one.”

Father pointed to the miserable situation of God who is asking when He looks at this world: “What can I do? Where must I go?” And he requested on that day: “More than 16 nations should come together and tell God, `Father! We will fulfill your wishes in Reverend Moon’s place.’ They must keep going until they attain victory in the end.”

A couple of days after these important statements were made I shared a reflection based on them with hundreds of leaders and members under the theme “Our unity with our True Parents” and 40 days later again in the series “What can we repent for?” After six months I offered part of these decisive excerpts from Father’s words again in a reflection entitled “Returning to the Father”.

11 month later I presented these important quotes again in the first installment of the series “Who is united with True Parents?” for the sake of a new beginning. In that letter I shared the following content which one sister wrote in May 2011: “Last night in London, Father said that if He would die now, the Providence would be finished. I think so. Too many people around Father are manipulators and disrespectful of Father, indeed treating Him as if he would not have his head together. But Father has very much his head together, and His heart too. For example, he is clearly following the Principle, loving up the lowest of lowest sinner first, yes, exactly practicing what he preaches.”

I expressed my concern at that time, asking: “Why would the Providence be finished? Because God has still no one but True Father, who finds himself surrounded by thieves, as he stated, and as Hyung Jin Nim pointed out repeatedly in recent speeches…” Still such concerns were not taken to heart and Father remained without a foundation to stand on.

On June 4, 2011 he said: “If I cannot frame everything by the age of 104, I know I will be called a failure. I am thinking to be finished with everything by the age of 104.”

Meanwhile it has become a fact: In line with Father’s own words he was presented in the media as a failure with many negative articles having been published in connection with his death as you are certainly aware of. But this is not because Father himself failed but because we did such a miserably poor job in uniting with and living his teaching. Father had to walk the way of the cross for decades because we insisted on following the way of the Archangel, manifested in the behavior of our leadership, instead of practicing the precious teaching of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humanity.

When Dr. Chang Shik Yang was asked to give a report on the 57th anniversary of the founding of our church (vimeo.com/24592897) he shared: “In 2008 Father proclaimed the Boon Bong Wang providence. Therefore in the final four years after 2008 Father was working to establish an actual nation through the Boon Bong Wangs. It was a providence for substantiating God’s sovereignty in each nation. When Father was doing this he paid the ultimate indemnity. The same kind of indemnity Father paid in 1984 after the wilderness course, Heung Jin Nim went to the spirit world and Father went to Danbury prison.

And in 2008, as we were beginning this final year and leg of God’s providence, it was at that time that Father had to go into the spirit world and Father had to go through the helicopter incident. So in God’s providence these two incidents were the most difficult course. We were not prepared at all for these providential events; I think we were never prepared. And in that year we also challenged to establish the Family Party but it was a great disappointment that we failed to carry this out.

Father moved to Korea and presented again a new vision to promote God’s sovereignty… We need to open an era of God’s Kingdom… If we had been successful with the Home town providence, if we had been successful with the Family or Home Church providence so many years ago all of our officials would have been elected to the government seats. But of course we were unable to do that. So we really have to repent for our failures of having been unable to do that.”

Has there been real repentance in the hearts of leaders and members centered on last year’s anniversary of the founding of our church? Tragically we have not taken Father’s words and the report by one of his closest disciples to heart and subsequently we had to face the consequences of our refusal to repent and to unite with Father’s often repeated encouragement to invest everything into the victory of Home Church and Tribal Messiahship and more fundamentally, to love one another. That is our greatest failure, we have not loved one another as true brothers and sisters and we have not loved the 360 families living in the Home Church area in the way Heaven has been hoping for…

430 days after this reminder of our failure, Father was admitted to the hospital with only one month left as a final chance for profound repentance by our worldwide membership in order to avert what had become an inevitable course for the Lord of the Second Advent: having to go to the cross, because his people – all of us – did not unite with His heart and guidance on how to establish God’s Kingdom on the earth.

How bad our overall spiritual situation had become can be understood alone by the content of what Dr. Yang shared in his report where he explained e.g. that 289 Ambassadors for Peace had accepted our education and they were elected: “So the question was, what are they going to do now that they are elected? They asked us, `What is it they can do to create God’s Kingdom?’ When they asked us this question we could not really give a good answer. We are always talking about restoring God’s sovereignty, but how are we going to do that? So the question is very clear and is cause for us to do a lot of research and study to find an answer to this question.

Many people request that we educate them under a certain topic. So we have to continue to do research and figure out a way how to allow this ideology to find roots in the provincial assemblies. If we can do that I am sure we will restore God’s sovereignty where a ruling and opposition party does not exist…”

Chang Shik Yang mentioned the example of one person who was elected with our full support and who asked us: “Since you have elected me, let me know what I have to do? But we were unable to provide anything. But one thing we could say, you can create support for our international families…”

Imagine, the Lord of the Second Advent was born in Korea and had invested for the restoration of the Fatherland for more than 7 decades when one of his core disciples had to report to our worldwide membership that people in public positions ask what they can do to create God’s Kingdom but we cannot give them any concrete answers!!!

It is unspeakably tragic to have such a reality in the chosen land of Korea that our leaders have not taken responsibility to do their homework of studying deeply how to build Cheon Il Guk substantially so that even after decades of `attending’ Father they do not know any clear answers concerning how to substantially bring about a God-centered world.

From this viewpoint it is understandable that Father warned us two times on that holiday, “If you don’t do what I am saying I can just disassemble everything and burn everything away… I can disassemble everything and start it all over again.”

His last words on that day, “I am warning you. I cannot trust any of you.” have not been taken to heart and the 430 day period which represented a final chance to leave Egypt on the spiritual level by becoming a new person was not used for a fundamental renewal of our movement.

As a consequence Father had to walk the path of the crucifixion for the 8th time, this time irreversibly with no more resurrection but having to end his physical life prematurely on the cross because there was nobody whom he could trust and rely on.

That warning on the 49th Day of all True things was followed by the firm chastisement on the Day of Victory of True Love at the beginning of this year but when this very strong admonishment was also not taken to heart there was definitely no more foundation for the Lord of the Second Advent to continue his mission on the earth.

God has definitely fulfilled his portion of responsibility to tell us what is at stake but when we do not respond then He had no other choice than to allow the final crucifixion which ends the Messiah’s life in the physical world.
