UPF Munich, Germany: Heaven and hell - what does that mean for me and us?

This was the theme of the once again very popular and lively UPF Prayer Breakfast. We chose this theme to mark the Christian days of remembrance for the deceased in November. This time, the Church of Scientology Bavaria had again invited us to their premises in Munich-Schwabing, where we enjoyed a hearty breakfast after an introductory prayer for peace. This exciting topic very soon led to a lively exchange from different points of view. There were a total of 13 participants and representatives from the religious communities of the Muslim Ahmadiyya community, the Catholic Church, the Innayat Sufi Order, Scientology, and the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification. As we had not invited an explicit speaker this time, everyone took their turn to express what they understood by heaven or hell.

Finally, we all concluded that there is no substitute for peace and that we are all responsible for building heaven on earth, in ourselves, in our families, and in our everyday world, and that it is not a matter of waiting for heaven, but of working on it now and always - according to the motto of Rev. Moon, the founder of UPF “The kingdom of heaven does not begin sometime, but right now. Heaven is the world of the heart.” And so we acted accordingly and built a small piece of it.
