Cheonbo and Heavenly Parents’ Providence (Part 1 of 3) - The Significance and History of the Bequeathal of God’s Blessings

Every Member of our Movement knows Gen. 1-28 – the 3 Blessings. Through the Principle, we understand that these represent the launch of God’s Ideal, that a man and woman should mature from infancy to individual perfection through the unity of mind and body, enter into the Direct Dominion and inherit God’s Love; then come together in God’s Blessing to form a unified Blessed Couple, establishing God as the Heavenly Parent, and bear children establishing God’s lineage. Those descendants would then, with the cooperation of ancestors and angels in the Spiritual Realm, establish and eternally expand and develop God’s Kingdoms on Earth and in Heaven as children of the Heavenly Parent and as co-creators, thus uniting mankind and the entire creation, all centering on Heavenly Parent.

What was God’s ideal for each of His eternal children, based on these three Blessings?

Holy Mother Han Women Will Play a Leading Role in the Ideal World I This speech was given at Women’s Federation for World Peace rallies in 21 cities in Korea between May 11 and June 2, 1992

… “If human beings, whom God created as His companions of true love, had reached maturity in accordance with God’s Will and inherited His absolute and unchanging true love, a history of fundamental world unity would have unfolded and there would not have been this wretched history of wars and bloodshed. When body and mind are united based on true love, you become the companion of God’s own love — His eternal object partner. Not only that, you also become the heir of His eternal love. Love brings with it the right of inheritance, the right of cohabitation and the right of participation as an equal. … Since love has these three great properties — the right of inheritance, the right to shared lives and the right to equal participation — when you stand in the position of perfect union with God’s absolute and unchanging true love, you can stand with God wherever He may be. You have the right to live together with Him and participate in His work at all times. … From the viewpoint of the logic of resonating with true love, when we human beings truly love and enter the realm of mutual oneness, we can say that God’s life is our life, God’s lineage is our lineage, and the created world in God’s possession is our created world. Then we will be registered in the kingdom of heaven with the heart of the father and the mother embracing heaven and earth.”

When President Dunkley was inaugurated to replace Dr. Chungsik Yong as the leader of America, Dr. Yong-cheon Song, International President of Family Federation shared important guidance from True Mother. One of those points, quite straightforwardly proclaimed:

“Blessed families that have received True Parents’ Blessing must become citizens of Cheon Il Guk”

Registration as a citizen of Cheon Il Guk is achieved through the Cheonbo induction. It is Heavenly Parent’s will and ideal that every child ever born will achieve the Three Blessings and become a citizen of Cheon Il Guk, fully inheriting the Rights of True Love.

Through the fall, mankind lost our position as God’s Children and instead became Satan’s children. Our bodies were at war with our original minds. Men and women have been at war with each other. Families, tribes, races, nations, have all been at war with each other. The spirit world and the physical world have been in conflict. Mankind and Creation have been in conflict.

How long has this been going on? The Bible symbolically describes 6,000 providential years leading up to the present, but we know that doesn’t refer to actual time. According to True Father it has been “Many Millions of Years”:

… Since I came to America ten years ago, I have been trying to change this world and nation through each of you. I have been giving you so much and pushing you a lot. Every time you come to hear me speak, you exclaim, “Oh, Father, you are doing it to us again!” You feel such a heavy burden on your shoulders. But think of God, who for many millions of years has not slept even one minute. He has been watching the world and its problems, trying to put together some solutions to them. Think of that burden.

According to Dae Mo Nim as proclaimed at the Cheonshim Won, there are now approximately 1 trillion Absolute Good Spirits in the Spirit World. In addition, there are still 1 trillion of God’s sons and daughters suffering in hell. 2 trillion of God’s children have been born since the fall. As Jesus taught, God would abandon the 99 to save even one lost child. We know from Gen. 6:6-7 that Heavenly Parent was so overwhelmed with grief that he was actually tempted to destroy mankind and the creation and start over.

6 The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was

deeply troubled. 7 So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.”

After millions of years of watching, unable to intervene, as Satan battered and tortured and destroyed God’s children, driven almost to the point of giving up, finally God found Noah, and rather than totally destroying all mankind, he saved Noah’s family as a new seed.

Working through Noah’s son Shem, God called out one of his descendants, Abraham, and established the Israelites as the Chosen People on the foundation of Jacob’s victories over the angel and in his unity with Esau. Finally, 2000 years ago, God sent his Only Begotten Son, Jesus.

Satan did everything in his power to invade Jesus’s mission, and yet still, in Jesus, Heavenly Parent finally achieved the substantial realization of one son who could fully reflect God’s masculine heart and nature. That was the fruit of millions of years of God’s jeongseong and unimaginable suffering.

Quickly, Satan crushed God’s efforts at that time, but the foundation was already established and God immediately began His Providence to bequeath Jesus’s foundation to the Lord of the Second Advent, and to send His Only Begotten Daughter. That required another 2000 years.

Jesus called True Father on Easter 1935, and asked the 15-year old Sun Myung Moon to inherit His mission. This was the beginning of God’s first attempt to bequeath the existing successful foundation of one of His blessings to a second individual. Both Heavenly Parent and True Father had to pioneer that course. It was an uncharted course. It was also an unimaginably difficult course.

… ‘Jesus spoke directly to the young man: “Hear me. I am Jesus. I came to earth as the only son of God in order to save the people of the world, but I left the earth without having accomplished everything. You are to carry on this mission and bring God’s will into reality on the earth. From this moment on, I will always be with you.” After making this awesome and solemn declaration, Jesus gradually disappeared from view. When Reverend Moon ended his prayer, he realized that God had just given him an incredible mission. It would be nine years before Reverend Moon felt free to share his secret with others. In the intervening time, he embarked on an arduous course to uncover the hidden truths of the universe. The people around Reverend Moon during his remaining boyhood years and early manhood had no way of knowing about his spiritual pilgrimage. Outwardly, he may have seemed like an unremarkable, impoverished young man. Within his heart, though, a fire burned as hot as a blast furnace. Day after day, he battled Satan at the risk of his life and gradually was able to dig out the truth about the spiritual world and the true meaning of life. He also exposed the deepest secret in the cosmos, Adam and Eve’s, and Satan’s, original sin. During these nine years, Reverend Moon traveled back and forth between the physical and spiritual worlds. He spoke with Buddha, Confucius, and Jesus. He visited with

innumerable good spirits, and he passed through countless harsh trials and tribulations from evil spirits. This period was also a time for God to test Reverend Moon in myriad ways to see whether he was really qualified to stand as the central person for the salvation of humankind. The hardships and suffering that Reverend Moon experienced during this period will most likely remain secret for all time…

… “Sometimes he was tempted to abandon his mission, he has admitted. Since he had enrolled as an electrical engineering student at Waseda University in Japan, it would have been easy to set aside his religious concerns to concentrate upon his future or to limit his extracurricular activities to the struggle for Korean independence.”

Here is one brief excerpt from True Father’s Memoir

“I took on a major position in the movement. It involved working in close relationship with the Republic of Korea Provisional Government, located in Shanghai and headed by Kim Gu. My responsibilities in this position could have required me to give up my life. I did not hesitate, though, because I felt that, if I died, it would have been for a righteous cause.”… “I cannot even remember the number of times I was taken into custody by the police, beaten, tortured, and locked in a cell. Even under the worst torture, however, I refused to give them the information they sought. The more they beat me, the bolder I became. Once I had a fight on the Yotsugawa Bridge with police who were chasing me. I ripped out a piece of the bridge railing and used it as a weapon in the fight. In those days, I was a ball of fire.”

True Father completed his first 7-year course victoriously in 1942. This was an unprecedented victory for Heavenly Parent. Just as Jesus had victoriously demonstrated that the dream God had pursued for billions of years - of dwelling in a human being - could actually be accomplished, so too, with True Father’s victory, for the first time, God was able to bequeath the victorious foundation of Direct Dominion from one man, Jesus, to another man, True Father.

This proved that it would be possible, eventually, to redeem all mankind.

Finally, Heavenly Parent was ready to send His OBD, and True Mother was conceived.

True Parents’ Holy wedding was held on April 11, 1960, and for the first time in the Creation, God’s 2nd Blessing was realized.

But God’s purpose was not to bequeath His 3 Blessings to only one couple. It was God’s absolute and unchangeable will that every one of His children inherit the Three Blessings through True Parents. True Parents, through the Marriage Blessings, laid the foundation for the redemption of all of mankind. But those Blessings were conditional. They returned us to God’s lineage, but did not bequeath Direct Dominion or the fullness of God’s Love to us.

Blessing and Ideal Family by Reverend Sun Myung Moon Chapter Five THE FORMULA COURSE FOR PERFECTION

… When I give the Blessing, I first ask, “If you make a mistake, will you take responsibility for it?” Thus it is a conditional Blessing. Why is it a conditional Blessing? When somebody tells you to have dominion over all things, Satan will still accuse you. The Blessing is not supposed to be given to people who can be accused by Satan. The Blessing is supposed to be given to persons who have subjugated Satan. That is the fundamental rule. But since you have not advanced to that standard, a conditional Blessing is given. Thus you have to receive the Blessing once again in the future.

With True Parents, God developed and refined the path of Tribal Messiahship, through which Blessed Couples could achieve the standard of Direct Dominion in resonance with Heavenly Parent, substantially fulfilling the conditions to inherit God’s Love and God’s 3 Blessings. True Father said this about his pioneering efforts on this path:

… Externally, there is not much difference between you and me. But the difference is internal. I think differently; I live in a realm transcending time and space. I have been persecuted throughout my entire life. Normally, no one could stand a tenth, or even a hundredth, of what I have endured, but I continue to go on. My goal is fixed upon the ultimate liberation of God. Until that happens, my march shall not cease. How am I going to liberate God? With true love…

Satan originally belonged to God, of course. He is very clever; he knows the ultimate truth and how he was supposed to fit into the universe. He also knows what kind of mistake he made. Instead of centering upon God and truly loving Him, Satan separated himself, set himself up as another subject, and has been trying to induce the entire world to love him. Satan knows that God is entitled to claim every person who has true love. Therefore, Satan has to relinquish to God anyone who possesses true love. True love

transcends every barrier, whether at the family, tribal, national, worldwide, or even universal level. So Satan made a deal with God: anybody God claims must be a person of true love, meaning that he must break through every barrier, all the way up to the universal level. That person must receive all kinds of persecution and prove himself worthy. When Satan gave this condition to God, God had to agree, “You are right, Satan. I can’t argue with that demand” So Satan has said that anybody who totally lives for the sake of others on a universal level, anyone who is truly free from a self-centered point of view, belongs to God. On the other hand, anyone who stumbles over any barrier along the way can be claimed by Satan as part of his domain.

Bestowing the Tribal Messiah Mission

You must become a savior in order to save your families. You must fulfill the mission of a tribal messiah. You must become the ancestors of the new Israel.

This testifies to the fact that 3 ½ years after their Holy Wedding, True Parents began the providence through which they could ultimately bequeath their victorious foundations to all mankind. This is a course which, at that time, only True Father, among all of God’s 2 trillion children, had successful walked when he victoriously inherited Jesus’s foundation.

It was only 13 years later, on the foundation of the Victory of Washington Monument, that a condition had been set for the substantial bequeathal of True Parents’ victorious Foundation. The conditions of that bequeathal, had to be approved by both God and Satan. This was the foundation for Home Church.

… There are many steps beyond just home church. After that, there is the clan church, the tribe church, the nation church, the world church. You have to pass through all these levels. Doing home church is not easy, but doing tribe church and nation church are even more difficult. No individual is capable of doing all these levels; therefore, True Parents came to this earth to do it for everybody else, for you and all your posterity.

… I laid a victorious foundation for your home church by the victorious foundation of a world church. Home church is nothing but a microcosm of the world church. It is a mini-world in which you can inherit my foundation and my victory. By setting a condition on the home church level, you will win the right to do the things which even Jesus could not do 2,000 years ago; you will indemnify his position.

In 1984 True Father went to Danbury, and had to start once again from the bottom. He emerged in 1985, 40 years after the start of his first Messianic Course following WW2.

By the end of the first 7 years following Danbury, True Parents achieved world level victories through their unity with Mikhail Gorbachev and Kim Il Sung. During this time, beginning in 1989, True Parents relaunched Tribal Messiahship and the Hometown Providence.

Beginning in 1992, True Mother took the Providential leadership launching Women’s Federation and conducting an incredible series of tours crisscrossing the world exhaustively, without rest. At the culmination of her first 7 years, Satan surrendered. On that foundation, we were able to begin ancestral liberations and blessings, and finally the Cheonbo providence emerged.

Through ancestral liberations, Blessed Couples and their families gained tremendous spiritual support. What had previously been very difficult became increasingly achievable.

From the time she began her leadership in 1992, True Mother proclaimed Cheon Il Guk in 21 years on Foundation Day, February 22, 2013 (January 13, 2013 Heavenly Calendar) .

From the time Ancestral Liberations began in 1999, True Mother held the first Cheonbo Won induction of more than 3,000 Couples and their tribes in 21 years on October 10, 2020.

After ushering in Cheon IL Guk Foundation Day, blessed families who were reborn in the restored Garden of Eden were invited to fulfill the mission of the heavenly tribal messiah. True Mother emphasized that being a “heavenly tribal messiah” is in the sense that he or she is a tribal messiah that attends the Heavenly Parent.

The heavenly tribal messiahs have the mission to complete the blessing of 430 families horizontally on earth and to vertically complete the Liberation and Blessing Ceremonies of 430 generations of ancestors, in eight distinct lines. Absolute good spirits who have received the Blessing through the Ancestor Liberation and Blessing Ceremonies … will actively support the providential activities of their descendants. In principle, the seventh generation of descendants of a blessed family can meet the original standard of creation, and when those descendants reach perfection, the previous generations reaching back to the original blessed family also receive the same benefits towards reaching their perfection.

However, blessed families living at the same time as True Mother, the substantial Holy Spirit and Only Begotten Daughter, wish to be reborn and reach perfection of character at the original standard of creation within one generation. When blessed families fulfill their tribal messiah mission, they can be reborn as people matching the original standard of creation and complete the path to perfection. How is this possible? By calculating the number of descendants that a family would have after seven generations, it was determined that the process of restoration through seven generations would involve 430 families. Therefore, when a heavenly tribal messiah family blesses 430 families

horizontally, they can complete horizontally within one generation the restoration that would normally take seven generations vertically.

What happens when the tribal messiah mission is completed? People’s fallen nature is removed, and they are reborn as original human beings, able to fulfill their responsibility through their own realizations. Through absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience, they can unite with True Mother and live according to the original principles. In other words, with a pure heart like that of a child, they fulfill the way of hyojeong, becoming one in heart, one in will, one in thought, and one in action with True Mother, the Only Begotten Daughter.

Blessed couples who have completed their heavenly tribal messiah mission enter the realm of the royal family of Cheon Il Guk. Moreover, they become Cheonbo couples, treasures of heaven registered in Cheonbo Won, and are honored as blessed couples who have achieved the Cheonbo standard for Cheon Il Guk citizenship.

Following this, those couples that bring 43 couples – one tenth of the 430 couples from their tribal messiah Blessings – to become Family Federation members then work to educate and guide those 43 couples along the path of Cheonshim Cheonbo training, nurturing the 43 couples well prepares them to become blessed families of true virtue. Through the process of this practice and training, the Cheonbo couples will be cleansed of their fallen nature, becoming Cheonbo couples who act according to the voice of the heart of Heaven and advance to the stage of attending Heavenly Parent and True Parents, living in the kingdom of heaven on earth.

The gateway for members to enter the Direct Dominion, and to inherit True Parents victorious foundation of the 3 Blessings is finally opened.
