Dear Bishop Kim,

I’m looking forward to the upcoming 21 seminar about True Parents’ lives, and I have already registered. Today, thinking about True Mother from an historical perspective, I was struck with an idea that seems to make a lot of sense, and which, if true, would put True Mother’s life into an even more extraordinarily powerful context.

I’m writing both of you because I have not personally heard or read True Parents speak of this, but perhaps you have. If not, I am hoping that Bishop Kim might raise the question with True Mother, for her direct feedback.

In short, my insight is that perhaps the most fundamental reason for World War II was as a condition for True Mother’s Birth.

My understanding up until now has been that WWI was the foundation for the Birth of the Messiah, and WWII was the foundation for the start of the Messiah’s Providential Mission.

However, in a very real sense, the ultimate Providential Mission of the Messiah is based on being able to give the Blessing, which requires The Only Begotten Daughter of God. So while, in 1952, True Father may have understood the significance of WWII in the more general sense that it was a foundation for his Providential Mission, he may not have understood that it was the foundation for the birth of God’s Only Begotten Daughter who was ESSENTIAL for the fulfillment of True Parents Providential Mission.

If this is true, then while a very terrible price, it would also help the world more fully grasp the significance and historic providential value of God’s Only Begotten Daughter.

Based on my research this afternoon, here is what I have come up with so far to support the idea. The providential dates are all (solar calendar dates) based on the timeline in Chapter 14 of the Chambumo Gyeong.

The historic war dates are all from internet searches, mainly from Wikipedia.

True Father finished the Wolli Wonbon on May 10, 1952, which served as the basis for the Divine Principle. An important point here is that True Father finished this before he ever met True Mother. They first met in March 1956. So True Father’s explanation of the significance of the World Wars, as explained in the Divine Principle was written before he ever met God’s Only Begotten Daughter.

Here is part of what he wrote about the World Wars as conveyed in the Exposition of the Divine Principle:

Fourth, the world wars have taken place to fulfill the worldwide indemnity condition to restore God’s sovereignty.

(This clearly states the the World Wars were indemnity conditions necessary for God to reestablish His sovereignty.)

Preparation 4.2.4 p.370

With the defeat of the satanic world and its ruler, the Kaiser, the world on God’s side won the formation- stage victory and laid the foundation for the birth of the returning Christ, who is destined to be the Lord of God’s world.

(This clearly states that WWI was the foundation for the Birth of the Lord of the Second Advent)

THE PROVIDENTIAL RESULTS OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR

The victory of God’s side in the Second World War fulfilled the growth-stage indemnity condition to restore God’s three great blessings worldwide. Having the significance of overcoming Jesus’ second temptation on the world level, the victory fulfilled the indemnity condition to restore God’s second blessing worldwide. Finally, by laying the growth-stage foundation for the democratic world, it established the growth-stage foundation to restore God’s sovereignty. While Hitler was the antitype of Jesus on Satan’s side, Stalin was the antitype of the Second Advent of Christ on Satan’s side. The fact that Hitler and his nation were destroyed, while Stalin and his foundation of worldwide communism grew strong, indicated that the time for building the spiritual kingdom under the leadership of the resurrected Jesus had passed, and the age for building a new heaven and new earth under the leadership of Christ at the Second Advent had begun

(This clearly states that WWII was the foundation for building God’s Sovereignty on Earth under the leadership of the Lord of the Second Advent)

So what was the timing of the condition for WWI?

WWI started on July 28, 1914 when Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia.

The USA entered WWI on April 6, 1917

The armistice between Germany and the Allies was signed on Nov. 11, 1918

Father was born on Feb 25, 2020.

What about WWII?

In Europe, the WWII started on Sept. 1, 1939 when Germany invaded Poland.

However in Asia, there were a series of wars between China and Japan. The 2nd Sino-Japanese War actually occurred between Nov. 1938 and December 1941.

True Mother was born on Feb. 10, 1943. The days surrounding her birth were highly significant in WWII.

Feb. 2, 1943, marks the official surrender of the German 6th Army at the Battle of Stalingrad. This was the first major defeat of the Germany Army.

Feb. 9, 1943, (the day before True Mother’s birth), marks the capture of Guadalcanal. This is the first major achievement of America in the Pacific War.

Feb. 11, 1943, (the day after True Mother’s birth), Gen. Dwight Eisenhower is selected as the Commander of the Allied Armies in Europe.

So Bishop Kim and President Dunkley,

I am not an historian, and do not feel that I personally have any authority to make such claims. But I find it very interesting, and if it is true, I think it could be very important to help the world better understand God’s Only Begotten Daughter in an historical context.

Bishop Kim, if you do not know the answer to this question, I hope that you might raise it appropriately with True Mother, and let her know that our American Movement is thinking and praying deeply about the significance of her life and mission.
