HJ Stars Information - Raising funds for each Subregion's YAYAM! — Resfred Arthur

Most of you might have heard about HJ Stars by now. This is an initiative by YAYAM to help raise funds for each Subregion’s YAYAM together with promoting HJ Culture and Talent and it would be great if each Subregion could help promote this event. Here’s how it works.

Purpose Raise funds for our Youth and Young Adult Ministries around the country while celebrating Culture and Talent within our communities.

Event Details • All information available at hjstars.com • Promotional Material o Website: hjstars.com o Promotional Video (Facebook) o Promotional Video (Vimeo) • 3 Week Talent Competition o Auditions will air on July 22nd @ 8pm EDT. All submissions must be in by Wednesday July 20th Midnight. (Auditions are 1min submissions) o Semi-finals will air on August 5th @ 8pm EDT. (Semifinals are 3 to 4 minute submissions) o Finals will air on August 12th @ 8pm EDT. (Finals are up to 5 minutes) o This will all air live at hjstars.com, Family Federation and BCSF facebook page. o The winner will walk away with $1000, $500 for 2nd place and $250 for third place. We will have other prizes as well like “audience choice award”. o Advancing will be determined by judges and the live audience votes. • Raising funds for YAYAM o This program is a fundraiser for YAYAM and anyone can donate by going to hjstars.com. o Donations made from members of each Subregion will be sent to that Subregion to support their YAYAM. So for example, if Dr. Jackson makes a donation at hjstars.com, his donation will be classified under Subregion 4 and sent to Subregion 4 to support YAYAM. **This is subject to program expenses. • Open to all o There is no upper or lower limit for participation. This is open to all ages. o This is also open to all international participants. o Registration to submit a talent is FREE This will be 3 nights of celebrating talent and culture within our movement so I’d like to ask you all to encourage any talents within your Subregion to participate, as well as everyone to consider donating to support YAYAM around the country. This will air next week Friday @ 8pm so you’ll be getting more information as the day draws near. Your support is appreciated.

Fundraiser Event for Our Youth Programs

Virtual Talent Show to allow our talented youth to share their talents as well as support their talent endeavors with cash prizes.

Funds raised from this event will go towards future events and programs dedicated to building our Youth & Young Adults in North America.

- Preliminary Round All participants will submit a 1-min or shorter video or files to showcase their talent. Submissions are due by July 20, 2022. The showcase wil l be livestreamed on July 22, 2022.

• Submit your video or image file showcasing your Come join us with your friends and families on the talent. This can be anything from singing, 3D art, livestream where we show the submissions with our video game highlights to skits - anything that panel of judges. shows your talent to connect with others. Winners will be announced at the end of the event. • Audition videos must be less than l minute long

• Semi-Final and Final Rounds will require separate submissions.

Who can apply? Anyone with talent can apply. This is not limited to youth and young adults competing.

Groups can apply as well with one representative making the submission.
