The Victorious Life of Debbie Anderson Jim Anderson

Debra (“Debbie”) Jane Hall was born July 22, 1952 in Medina, Ohio, the daughter of Marvin and Roberta Hall. She graduated from Medina High School in 1970. She then moved to Austin, Texas where she lived for five years.

Debbie had a passion for music and invested herself in the creative music culture in Austin. She often talked about the job she had where she did setup for musicians including Willie Nelson, Michael Murphy, and Seals and Croft.

Debbie was a spiritual searcher and in 1975 joined the Unification Church in Austin. This was the beginning of a long and exciting life of spiritual dedication and service. For several years, she was very active teaching and working with Church programs and campus ministry.

On July 1, 1982 Debbie and I were blessed in holy marriage through the 2,075 couple blessing in Madison Square Garden. We moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 1987. It was there that we had a son, Bradford, in 1988 and then twins, Vanessa and Alisa, in 1990. Later that year, we moved to Stoughton, Wisconsin where we have continued to reside and had one more child, Austin, in 1994.

In spite of raising a big family, Debbie remained very active in the church. She was a very good speaker. She served as a pastor in the local church and taught Sunday School as well as helped on summer workshops for the kids.

Debbie was a great singer and loved to perform. She sang at church services as well as at weddings and funerals. She had a pure heart and her singing would often move people to tears.

In June 2012, we received the devastating news that Debbie had pancreatic cancer. The doctors performed surgery but were only partially successful and said there was nothing more that they could do with conventional medicine. This began a one-year mystical journey to find an effective alternative approach. Debbie spent three weeks in the fall of 2012 in Brazil visiting a spiritual healer, John of God. It was a beautiful experience for both us. We saw many miracles and met many wonderful people. Later, in the

spring of 2013, we spent two months in Huntington Beach, CA at an alternative immunotherapy clinic. The program had a very positive effect on Debbie’s health. Additionally, we were able to spend precious time with the wonderful brothers and sisters in the Los Angeles church community.

At the beginning of this summer, Debbie fulfilled a lifelong dream as we took a trip to visit the Grand Ol’ Opry in Nashville and Graceland in Memphis. Shortly after that, Debbie’s cancer spread and she began a hospice program where she spent her remaining time in the comfort of our home.

As Debbie came closer to the end of her battle with cancer, she maintained a beautiful spirit. She said that although she would dearly miss friends and family, she was excited that she would soon be able to see friends and loved ones who had passed on to the other side. She was looking forward to continuing to serve God and True Parents in the spiritual world. Debbie passed to the next world on August 17, 2013.

God Bless Debbie! She was a holy person and my best friend. I will terribly miss her.
