Level 2 Blessing Workshop in Tempe, Arizona: December 28-29, 2012

A Level 2 Blessing Workshop will take place at the Hotel Tempe Phoenix Airport in Tempe, Arizona, from 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012. This is an officially authorized workshop that satisfies the workshop requirement for participation in the Holy Blessing Ceremony. All Unificationists age 18 and up are allowed to attend, and will receive certificates upon graduation from the workshop.

According to www.familyfed.org/members, the Level 2 Blessing Preparation Workshop states that “this program is intended for Blessed Children 18 and older (or Unificationist members of one year or more) who are preparing to begin the matching process. It begins with self-reflection: ‘How prepared am I and what am I bringing to the table?’ It deepens participants’ understanding of healthy relationships and introduces the value of lineage. In the case of Blessed Children, we clarify their heritage from True Parents and their own parents, and their future legacy. It introduces the Family Matching Handbook and provides clear, step-by-step guidance for beginning and following through with the matching process successfully.”

Dr. Josie Hauer, who was Blessed in marriage in 1982 and works as a family specialist of the Administration for Children and Families, will present at the workshop. Dr. Hauer has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in religion, education and family psychology for the University of Bridgeport and the Unification Theological Seminary (UTS). She holds Masters’ degrees from Harvard Divinity School, UTS, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Bridgeport.

The workshop fee includes lodging at the Hotel Tempe Phoenix Airport on Friday, December 28th and four meals (lunch and dinner on Friday and breakfast and lunch on Saturday). Local Arizona members can hand in their registration forms and payments at church service. Credit cards are not accepted.
