It is w ith a heavy heart and deep sadness t hat we share the sudden and unt imely passing of our beloved b rother Mr. John A lexander. As a c herished member of New Jersey Family Chu rch of C lifton, his p resence will be sorely missed by all.
O n Wednesday, June 7th, M r. A lexander departed from this earthly life, leaving behind a legacy of faith, kind ness, and devotion to God. In January of t his year, he suffered from a massive stroke and was in and out of the ICU for a couple of mont hs. He eventua lly was stabilized and w as later moved to a rehabilitation center to aid in his recovery at the end of April. However th is past Wednesday his heart stopped suddenly.
Born in 1955 and raised in Oregon, he left after high school to travel the United Stat es. In 1976 he met and joined the Unificat ion Movement, insp ired by their idealism and wanting t o cont ribut e to God’s Providence. As a dedicated member, he spent many years serving in the development and maintenance of the New Yorker Hotel, a landmark building in New York City. He was Blessed in marriage to Yuko Kawase in 1982 in Madison Square Garden and together t hey raised three beautif ul children.
He was an active member of our church community, part icipating in va rious ministries and always extending a helping hand to those in need. We remember wit h fondness t hat j ust this past December, he dressed as Santa C lause to d istribut e gif ts and ca ndy to the child ren in our Sunday School classes. He touched t he lives of many within our communit y, and we are grat ef ul for the t ime we shared togethe r.
Mr. A lexander leaves behind his wife Yuko, and children Sein, Sunghyo, and Amy.
We hope t hat you are able t o contribute to this fund raiser, of which all proceeds w ill go to cover t he cost of f uneral and hospital expenses. Due to Mr. A lexander’s long st ay in t he hospital, we anticipate that the medical bills w ill be significant. Any assistance t hat can be offered to t heir family during this difficult t ime is greatly appreciated. Please keep t he Alexander family in your thoughts and prayers as t hey navigate this p rofound loss.
