Dear Brothers and Sisters, It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we share the sudden and untimely passing of our beloved brother Mr. John Alexander. As a cherished member of New Jersey Family Church of Clifton, his presence will be sorely missed by all.

On Wednesday, June 7th, Mr. Alexander departed from this earthly life, leaving behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion to God. In January of this year, he suffered from a massive stroke and was in and out of the ICU for a couple of months. He eventually was stabilized and was later moved to a rehabilitation center to aid in his recovery at the end of April. However, this past Wednesday his heart stopped suddenly.

Born in 1955 and raised in Oregon, he left after high school to travel the United States. In 1976 he met and joined the Unification Movement, inspired by their idealism and wanting to contribute to God’s Providence. As a dedicated member, he spent many years serving in the development and maintenance of the New Yorker Hotel, a landmark building in New York City. He was Blessed in marriage to Yuko Kawase in 1982 in Madison Square Garden and together they raised three beautiful children.

He was an active member of our church community, participating in various ministries and always extending a helping hand to those in need. We remember with fondness that just this past December, he dressed as Santa Clause to distribute gifts and candy to the children in our Sunday School classes. He touched the lives of many within our community, and we are grateful for the time we shared together.

Mr. Alexander leaves behind his wife Yuko, and children Soin, Sunghyo, and Amy.

We hope that you are able to contribute to this fundraiser, of which all proceeds will go to cover the cost of funeral and hospital expenses. Due to Mr. Alexander’s long stay in the hospital, we anticipate that the medical bills will be significant. Any assistance that can be offered to their family during this difficult time is greatly appreciated. Please keep the Alexander family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this profound loss.
