Mrs. Cheong Dae-hwa Kim

When Mrs. Cheong Daehwa and her husband Kim Younghwi took responsibility as the representatives of our beloved True Parents for the continent of Europe from 1981 until May 1986, we knew little about True Parent's and Heavenly Parents' hearts.

The headquarters was crowded with young members. Mrs Cheong was sharing a tiny room under the roof with her husband. Extra heating in the winter and cooling in summer were needed. Living together with them, members enjoyed listening to her husband's spiritual guidance and her passionate Korean language lessons in the mornings. The rest of her day, until late at night, was filled with welcoming guests, answering the many letters, visiting families in their homes, and attending small and more significant public meetings.

Members witnessing her living for the sake of others every day were moved by her deep desire to convey True Parent's love for them. Her profound unity with her husband let members see her as a true representative of True Parents.

When they returned to Korea to take on new responsibilities, European members have always been happily welcomed by her. She remembered their names, to their surprise.

Thank you, Mrs. Cheong Daehwa, for planting the seeds of True Parents' and Heavenly Parents' true love in the hearts of many European members. These seeds have been growing steadily and are in full bloom by now.
